Boiled Green Peas - 1 Big CupCategory - Appetizers
Puris - 1 pack
Pepper Corns - 1 No.
Coriander leaves - 1 small cup
Green Chillies - 5 to 8 Nos (Add according to your taste)
Cumin seeds/ Jeera - 1 tsp
Clove/Lavangha - 2Nos
Cinnamon/Chakhe - 1 inch
Garlic Pods - about 4 to 5
Pudina / Mint Leaves - 1 small bunch
Salt to taste
Onions - 1 Finely chopped & sev (for topping)
Add half the quantity of green peas, and rest of the ingredients into a blender, blend it into a smooth paste by adding little water.
In a thick bottom vessel pour the mixture and boil till you see bubbles and at this time add about half a cup of water then add the remaining peas to the mixture, now boil the masala till it thickens (takes appx about 10 mins). The masala is ready. (Can add boiled mashed potatoes also into the Masala mix, it is an option)
Now crush a few puris onto a plate and pour the masala over the crushed puris. You can add a pinch of red chilli powder and chat masala over the masala, now top it with some chopped onions and corriander leaves and sev. You can also add a hint of lime.
Happy eating Masala Puri, Enjoy :)
Mouth waterrring!!

ReplyDelete@Ashwini, you can use Samosa, Bread, or even Kachori instead of puris.
ReplyDeleteIf you prepare the masala a little thicker you can use it for Bhel Puri :)
